“Creating demand and Catering demand”

Have you ever thought that the root cause behind the so-called recent terrorist attacks at different cities in India could be something else? In most cases, nothing has been proved yet. The court is yet to convict anyone in the absence of specific proof. And yet, we all very conveniently label them as terrorist attacks in the name of religion. I have a viewpoint; I would like to share with you all. Come to think of it, Incidents like bomb blast at temples, mosques, church, parks, and theatres have multiplied ten fold in the recent times. One religion is blaming another religion although nothing is religion specific. We are only spreading hatred. Serial blasts, blackmailers, suicide bombers are flocking the world. To cut down the fear factor, the world in turn, is spending extravagantly on the defense and security systems.

The point, I want to draw here is that such incidents boost up the security and safety requirements and the demand for security equipments like sensors, bomb detectors, bodyguards shoot up naturally. It is a possibility that, the attacks are a business gimmick. To give you a better picture, I would like to give you the example of the revolutionary change in the telecom sector. A few decades ago there was no need of mobile for a common man. Mobile was a luxury but at present it has become a necessity. Industries create demands through various ways. It can be advertising, branding, product demonstrations and many other promotional activities. But in case of industries like drugs, arms and ammunitions, security and safety equipments etc., the case is different. This industry has to work hard to survive in the market and for this it needs to create demand for its products. These industries rarely use TV, print media, radio etc. So, it’s possible, they use a dangerous plan to cover the market.

Once a city’s demand is supplied, it reaches a saturation point, so killer incidents keep happening at different cities. In case of India, the blasts started with J&K, targeted metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and are now shifting to tier II cities like Ajmer, Agra, Jaipur, Hydrabad, Varanasi, etc. 9\11, Godhra scandal, attack on Indian parliament etc. these all are clueless accidents which have taken place in the past few years. There were innumerous rumors of having government’s and terrorist’s hand behind these. Shivanand Nayak, a citizen of Mumbai emphasizes,

“I don’t understand as to why people cast aspersions without actually having the facts in front of them. Why do people nurse so much of hatred towards a nation driven by religion and dipped in violence? Not that I support that nation of fanatics who can even possibly kill in the name of God but to assume that they are always behind terrorist attacks is ridiculous.”

Guess, even we need to give it another thought like Nayak. The attacks may be clueless but may not be baseless. This article remains unanswered to so many questions and it invokes few more new questions in mind. Having another view point and spreading this viewpoint may help us to end this.
